Pat Kruse and his son Gage create incredible birchbark artwork that is featured in most Native galleries. He is a Red Cliff Nation Anishinaabe living in Mille Lacs.

Denise practices the art of birchbark biting - the ancient art of using the thin inner layers of birchbark to make impressions with her teeth. Astoundingly subtle and intimate work that needs to be seen to be believed!
