Q: What ages can play?
A: Our current age groups allow for ages 10-18 (Grades 3-11).
Q: Is there financial assistance available?
A: Yes. We are set up to accept payment plans, there are fundraising opportunities and scholarships based on income.
Q: When are practices?
A: All teams practice at least one day per week. We practice twice weekly until tournaments begin. Practices occur on Saturdays, Sundays and Thursdays. Most practices will take place in Devils Lake or Minnewaukan, ND. Times for grade/age will be dependent on coaching staff availability. These times will come out after tryouts in December.
Q: What if my athlete is in another sport?
A: We want all athletes to have the opportunity to play. Multi-sport athletes are highly encouraged and we will work with schedules outside of tournaments. A miss here or there is okay, communication is the key. If you are going to miss tournaments, we would like to know well in advance to ensure we have a competitive team. Communication should take place with your team's head coach.
Q: Why Mni-Hota Elite?
A: Founders of Mni-Hota Elite, previously Lake Region Club, wanted to provide equal access to sport. Understanding that athletes develop at different times, Mni-Hota Elite establishes tiered teams based on ability, attitude, and effort. We have both local and regional teams dependent on the want of athletes to see bigger more diverse tournaments.
