students performing at Incarnate Word Nursing Home to practice performance technique and bring music to those who need it
Music has been a form of personal expression in my life and has aided in my processing of complex emotions while giving me realistic expectations of myself and my abilities. Music is what you make of it; you can be as accomplished as you'd like, given you're willing to put in the work. There is no 'best' musician; loving the art you create is what makes you the best you can be and being able to showcase that is a testament to your love of music and appreciation that you have for it as a part of your life.
In my studio, students are encouraged to explore their musical ability through the study of piano. We engage in rhythm activities, composition, ear-training, performance, and more! Through the study of piano, students will: develop facility and technique at the piano, learn self-discipline, learn how to appreciate their own abilities as capable musicians, feel a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction in their work, enhance their social skills, and be prepared to take an active role in their education.
If you'd like to learn more about the studio expectations before contacting me, I encourage you to explore the Studio Policy found in the Students & Families tab above.

Lessons are offered at increments of 30-, 45-, and 60-minutes. Private lessons are the cornerstone of piano instruction at my studio. Students are given one-on-one instruction and time with the teacher to work through new and difficult tasks and prepare the student for furthering their musical interests. During a lesson, a student might work on skills like reading music, sightreading, ear training, composition, piano technique, performance, theory, etc. Private lessons are an excellent addition to a student's musical studies at school or as a student's music class if they are home-schooled. For more information on times and rates, please contact me using the form you can find here.
