The deck is primarily based on USMLE-Rx's "Flash Facts," which presents key concepts from First Aid for the USMLE Step 1 in a question-and-answer format. I chose this as the foundation because First Aid for the USMLE Step 1 is considered the most high-yield and comprehensive resource for preparing for the USMLE Step 1. However, I found that many of the original "Flash Facts" cards were overwhelming or tedious to navigate. To address this, I rewrote most of the cards to make them more digestible and added new cards for updated topics from First Aid for the USMLE Step 1. Additionally, I transformed the original note type into a "Cloze" format, as I believe this approach enhances both practicality and efficiency in studying.
As of version 3.0, the deck contains 13,840 cards. Every card is carefully organized by topic from First Aid for the USMLE Step 1, using both subdecks and tags. I’ve also included the corresponding page number from First Aid on each card, displayed in the top right corner. This makes it easy to follow along and take notes in your physical copy of First Aid as you study. To give you a better idea of how the deck is structured, I’ve included some pictures and videos below for a preview before downloading.
