My name is Nazrul, and I began my journey in the early 2000s in media relations and journalism before diving deep into broadcast production and later, photography. A medium that continues to fuel my creative drive today.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to wear many hats. From senior broadcast journalist to documentary producer, and eventually Head of Production at a digital media company. Along the way, I’ve worked on award-nominated documentaries like Bella Hopes and MagSeven for ntv7, produced for TV3’s Malaysia Hari Ini, and collaborated with networks like Discovery Channel, GoAsean, and FINAS.
Photography has always been central to my work. My commissioned projects have included corporate shoots for clients such as DHL, Bell & Ross, Mr. DIY, and Uber Malaysia, as well as environmental and socioeconomic documentation for Universiti Teknologi Petronas and Reef Check Malaysia under United Nation's Development Program.
Whether I'm behind the lens or leading a production team, I approach every project with a clear goal: to tell honest, impactful stories through compelling visuals.
Today, I focus on blending my media experience with my passion for photography. Working on editorial, commercial, and documentary projects that resonate on a deeper level.
