Hello I am Ms. Kellie!  I am the director and pre-k teacher here at our school. For 13 years I have watched many children learn and thrive throughout their pre-k year. It is truly rewarding witnessing the growth of young minds go from pre-k to school agers. Saying goodbye to them as they move onto kindergarten is usually the hardest time of the year for me. 

As a director, I cherish the relationships I develop with families. I also enjoy caring for our little school and my staff each day. Being a teacher and director is truly the best of both worlds. 

Prior to being a pre-k teacher at The Growing Tree in 2010, I was a personal paraprofessional at Orchard Farm High School for 3 years and an elementary paraprofessional in the Troy R-3 school district for 7 years. 

In my personal time I love spending time with my husband of 25 years and our 3 wonderful sons.  Our children are 28, 10, and 7 years old. Family time is very important to us. Our oldest son is temporarily working out of state. We are hoping he will transfer back to Missouri soon!  Our youngest boys play football and baseball, which keeps us busy throughout most of the year. Being a boy mom and working with children for a living, makes for a  very busy and fun life!
