The mission of the Manor Middle School Library is to teach students to be effective users of information and to encourage and prepare students to be college and career ready, and life long learners. This mission is accomplished by:

Facilitating future ready student skills and learning

• Creating an environment that unfolds thinking and inquiry in a global environment
• Allowing intellectual and physical access to a variety of informational materials
• Stimulating interest in reading, making, and designing
• Encouraging exploration of interests, critical thinking, and problem solving
• Promoting the use of the media center by students, parents, and faculty
• Working with teachers to develop educational strategies to meet the information needs of students and to augment teaching
• Supporting the school's curriculum and reading initiatives
• Providing instruction in information literacy
