Technical Services

We offer various technical services related to material characterization and technology development. Our lab facilities include:

• LWIR and MWIR thermal cameras for thermal imaging and NDT.

• CMOS cameras including high speed camera and flash light equipment.

• Several microscopes and optical systems with capability for high speed imaging for imaging during mechanical experiments. We also, have digital image correlation capability for surface strain measurements.

• Several split Hopkinson pressure bar systems to test metals, composites, ceramics, rocks and concrete in compression, tension and torsion. We can perform experiments up to 800 C on metals at high strain rates.

• Small scale in situ high temperature mechanical experiments on thin metallic and ceramic materials up to 1000 C.
