Microtensile test setups configured in situ optical experiments with digital image correlation. There are three highly configurable setup to perform tensile, compressive and bending experiments on micro/nano thin films and wires of all kinds of materials. Besides, optical imaging these setups are also configured to conduct various electrical and electro-chemical measures during mechanical loading.
A very high temperature (~1000 C) setup with inert gas and vacuum environment available for tensile experiments on thin films of various materials. The setup is configured with optical and thermal imaging.
We have three Kolsky bar setups that can perform tension, compression and torsion experiments at high strain rates. The setup is integrated with high temperature apparatures to conduct experiments up to 900 C with very small cold contact time. Also, the lab has a high speed camera to image and measure deformation in the samples during deformation.
