For Advocates:
In states without taskforces where legislatures are not likely to pass legislation to establish one, advocates can lobby the administration. In Washington and Wisconsin, the Office of the Attorney General decided to establish taskforces housed within their offices. In Alaska and Louisiana, taskforces were formed under Executive Order and housed within the Office of the Governor.
Background:
Most state taskforces were established by legislation. The majority of the laws included a date for the taskforce to produce a report of their findings, most for two years after the taskforce establishment.
