Madame/Señora Flannery is pleased to be teaching French and Spanish at Newtown High School! Previously, she taught in Stamford, CT and completed her student teaching in Shelton, CT. Besides French and Spanish, she has also taught classes in world cultures, drama, mime & makeup, chess, and karate.
Madame/Señora Flannery studied French at La Sorbonne and L'Université de Paris in Paris, France, and studied Spanish at the Universidad de Salamanca and El Colegio de Hispanola Continental in Salamanca, Spain. She earned bachelors degrees in French, Communications, and Theatre from the University of Connecticut. She earned her World Language and Drama teaching certifications through the Connecticut Alternate Route to Certification program. She earned her Masters degree in Modern Languages with a concentration in Spanish & Hispanic Languages and Cultures from Central Connecticut State University.
Mme/Sra. Flannery loves to travel, figure skate, make movies, play guitar and saxophone, and ride horses.
