Professional Portfolio

This GoogleSite reflects my learning from the Teaching English Language Learners Part 1 AQ. My goal is continue to add to this site as I continue professional development in order to have a document that is well organized and easy to share with colleagues and administration.

This portfolio contains the following pages which can be found in the menu at the top of the page. To see subpages, simply hover over the tab:

• Professional Growth: This tab contains reflections regarding my learning to teach ELLs, and my Philosophy Statement for Teaching ELLs.

• Resources: Here you can find resources collected throughout the Teaching ELLs Part 1 course as part of the Professional Portfolio Final Assignment. The resources are organized into the categories below:

• Quick Reference Documents: This tab contains two documents which I developed for the TELL Part 1 course. They outline how to design a literacy program that supports ELLs' development of reading and writing abilities.

• Vision and Action Plan: This slideshow is a detailed outline of how I would design an ESL program. It outlines the goals of the program, as well as steps for setting ELLs up for success within our school system.
