Manuela F. Magalhães

PhD Warwick University, UK

Manuela Magalhães holds a PhD in economics from the University of Warwick, a Master in economics from the University of Pompeu Fabra, and a degree in economics from the School of Economics and Management of the University of Porto. She is  Associate Professor of Economics at the Department of Economic Theory and History at the University of Malaga, and researcher at the Centre for Advanced Studies in Management and Economics, University of Évora. Her research focuses on economic growth, international economics, environmental economics, income inequality, skill-biased technological change, and networks. She is involved in research projects conducted by teams at the Public University of Navarre and the University of La Laguna. Manuela visited the University of Amsterdam and the Tinbergen Institute in 2010, the University College of London in 2010, and the Kiel Institute for the World Economy in 2009. She visited the University of Porto on several occasions, and the University of La Laguna also on several occasions.
