To participate in the MMAC 2026 challenge and access the DIEM-A dataset, please request through Huggingface, which includes an User License Agreement. The agreement must be signed by your team's Principal Investigator (PI). Once the registration is approved, participants will gain access to the training and test datasets.
All manuscripts must follow the official ACII 2026 Author Guidelines. Short papers (max. 5 pages; 4 pages + 1 page for refs) are welcome but not obligatory.
All results and papers will be submitted through ACII's submission system at EasyChair. Please make a new submission -> select the track "Multilingual and Multimodal Affective Computing Workshop & Challenge".
Submit your predictions for the 1,944-clip test set as a single CSV file, zipped and uploaded as Supplemental Materials with your paper. No need to submit Extended Abstract, CV, and Poster Presentation.
The CSV must contain those headers:
anonymized_name,predicted_emotion
with one row per test clip — exactly 1,944 rows — using the anonymized_name values from the provided test_data.csv (test0001 … test1944). predicted_emotion must be one of the 12 lowercase class names: anger, contempt, disgust, fear, joy, sadness, surprise, jealousy, shame, guilt, gratitude, pride. Additional columns are allowed and ignored.
Example:
anonymized_name,predicted_emotion
test0001,anger
test0002,pride
Format checker. In HuggingFace we provide a small offline tool to validate your file before submitting. It flags missing/duplicate IDs and invalid emotion names.
Accepted papers will be published in the ACII 2026 Workshop Proceedings. At least one author must register for the workshop and present the paper in person or online.

Important Note on Data Access and Eligibility
The complete DIEM-A dataset is publicly available online, containing the answers for the test set. For this challenge, you must only apply for the Challenge Version via the registration form on this page. Any team found applying for or using the full dataset will be immediately disqualified.
Furthermore, if anyone on your team has previously received access to the full DIEM-A dataset, your team cannot compete. To maintain the integrity of the challenge, members of the Organizing Committee and their collaborators who have access to the hidden test set labels are not eligible to participate.
