Welcome to the Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School Athletic Boosters Club website.  The Athletic Boosters Club plays a critical supporting role to our athletes’ success.  We provide funds to fill the gap between program needs and the athletic department budget, including funds for program enhancements as well as capital improvements.  Without a football team to generate ticket revenues and high-volume concessions sales, we rely primarily upon the donations of our generous Boosters.

Maggie L. Walker Governor's School is widely recognized for its superb academics. We also have a top-ranked athletic program with outstanding coaches and award-winning athletes. More than half the student body participates in athletics, with the school fielding 11 boys and 11 girls teams in 11 interscholastic sports. We've had great success winning conference, region, and state championships. For the past six years, Maggie Walker has won the prestigious Wells Fargo Cup, awarded to the school in its size group that performs best in state-level competition across all sports throughout the school year. In 2021, the award changed to the National Guard Cup, and Maggie Walker placed Athletics #1 and Academics #2. In addition, Maggie Walker has been awarded the Stay in the Game Award many years, recognizing schools that receive no player or coach ejections during each sports season.
