Symphony Orchestra Invitational + 'Lifted to the Stars' Concert

Seven of Florida’s top middle school and high school orchestras are selected to participate in UCF Orchestras’ annual invitational. Students get the opportunity to learn from, and perform for, nationally recognized music educators.

The University of Central Florida Symphony Orchestra, under the leadership of Conductor Robert G. Hasty and Assistant Conductor Calogero Fanara, and in collaboration with the UCF Choirs, under the expert direction of Chorus Master Jeffery Redding, this concert brings to life the sweeping drama and spiritual depth of Felix Mendelssohn’s Elijah 

Flying Horse Big Band: An Artist's Frame for Orlando

UCF’s premier jazz ensemble, The Flying Horse Big Band, play the world premiere of An Artist’s Frame for Orlando, composed by UCF jazz director and band leader, Jeff Rupert. This multi-movement work for jazz ensemble is a retrospective of Orlando, from the perspective of an artist.

Percussion Invitational + Concert

Eight high school percussion ensembles are invited to the Percussive Arts Society's competition and festival, cliniced and evaluated by members of the Sympatico Percussion Group.

Concert features a set performed by the UCF Percussion Ensemble, directed by Thad Anderson. Followed by a performance of featured guest artist the Sympatico Percussion Group

Music and the Brain: Featuring the Pegasus String Quartet

Music and the Brain brings together live chamber music by the Pegasus String Quartet and insights from leading scientists exploring how music influences mood, cognition and brain health.

UCF New Music Ensemble: Zodiac

A new evening length work composed by members of the UCF Composition Studio and performed by the UCF New Music Ensemble. Inspired by the structural makeup of Steve Reich’s minimalist classic Music for 18 Musicians, this concert unfolds in a stunning arc, from the opening and closing “Pulsar” movements to the 12 sections representing each of the zodiac signs.

Part of Theatre UCF's Pegasus Play Lab 2025: A devised theatre project that brings together students with and without disabilities to create a theatrical piece about childhood and nostalgia inspired by participants’ early memories and using the source material “Millions of Cats,” the oldest picture book still in print.

Unique Challenges: 62 combined onstage and offstage cast, child actor, lighting technical issue during a performance, Frumasara platform / dream sequence

Supervisor: Kevin Barkman

As a student participating in Federal Work Study, I am employed with Theatre UCF and work directly alongside Resident Production Electrician Kevin Barkman. As an Assistant Electrician I have helped create and organize the electrics inventory, soldered various projects, and participated in hang and focus calls not just at UCF, but also Dr. Phillip's Center's Walt Disney Theatre and Steinmetz Hall alongside IATSE members.

Unique Challenges: working with two entire casts, only 3 week production period, cast ages ranging from 13-19

Part of Theatre South Playhouse's mainstage season; became the most successful and longest running show in the company's history

Unique Challenges: started on this production as an intern, then promoted after I stepped up to run rehearsals when both the director and PSM got COVID, long non-consecutive run, managing brush up rehearsals and cast coverage
