In this page we will show you how to backup and/or restore your save file or move it to other devices! Note that cross platform save transferring is not supported and if a new version of the game comes out that does not support an older save file format, you will be unable to use your backup. It is recommended that you make a backup every time the game updates. If you have been sent here from the main page, please read the content under "Avoid getting banned" and "Back up your data".
Back up your data
There are two methods to back up your save data.
1) Root method (Faster)
2) ADB method (Slower) NO ROOT
If your android device is rooted, go with the root method. Don’t waste your time. Obviously if you aren’t rooted and aren’t willing to root, just go ahead with the second method.
Root method
Step 1:
First of all, you need a good file manager with root access. If you don’t, I recommend you getting ES File Explorer File Manager which is free from the Play Store.
Step 2:
Open ES File Explorer and turn on root explorer (three bars at the top left hand corner, expand the tools bar and press on Root Explorer), give it root permission.
Step 3:
Navigate to the save file from the root of your device by going to the following directories:
· Amazon Underground version directory: /data/data/com.gameloft.android.AMAZ.GloftPOAZ.ultimata/files
· Play Store version directory: /data/data/com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftPOHM/files
Copy mlp_save_prime.dat anywhere you want and you’re done. Make sure you remember where you put it.
ADB method NO ROOT
It is explained in this persons guide in method two: Google Docs guide
1) Replace the directory your pulling the files from, depending on which version of the app you’re using.
Done! You now have a backup of your game's save file!
Restore your data
If you already have a backup of your save data, you can use one of the following methods. If you don’t, go downwards to see the customer support method.
1) 1) Root Method
2) 2) ADB Method (AKA: Non-root method)
If you have a rooted android device, I suggest that you use the root method. If you don’t, just use the ADB method.
Root Method
Grab your save file and copy it into one of the following locations and overwrite the current save file. Depending on which version your using, here are the locations:
*You must navigate to the locations from the root of your device
Done! You have now restored your save file!
ADB Method
The ADB restore method is explained in the second part of method two in this Google Docs guide.
1) 1)Replace the directory you’re pushing the files to, depending on which version of the game you’re using.
Done! You have now restored your save file!
If you don't have a save file to restore, I suggest you contact Gamelofts customer service and request a save data restore. I suggest that you remember the date when you're save data was lost as they might request this information. To go to Gamelofts customer service, click on the book in the top right hand corner, scroll down to options and select customer service. You can only access customer service from the app after completing the tutorial.
Transferring save data
Gameloft has an option to transfer save data in the settings menu.
The settings menu is accessed by pressing the scroll and navigating to the bottom.
Before transferring the save file, you must have completed the tutorial on the new device.
