ABOUT ME
Welcome to my homepage.
Here is my full name, written in my mother tongue:
Nguyễn Mạnh Linh
(in Vietnamese, the family name comes first).
I am an arithmetic geometer.
Despite the name LinhAT, I am no longer interested in algebraic topology. I am currently a Ph.D. student at Université Paris-Saclay, under the supervision of David Harari. I belong thus to the "Arithmétique et Géométrie Algébrique" team of the "Institut de Mathématiques d'Orsay". I am interested in the questions of rational points and approximation properties on algebraic varieties over global fields.
See here for more on my work.
Keywords: Galois cohomology, Hasse principle, weak approximation, algebraic groups, homogeneous spaces, Poitou–Tate duality, Brauer groups, Manin obstruction.
I was a student in the Honor Program in Mathematics of VNU University of Science from 2015 to 2018, though I have not received a degree from there. In the years 2018-2021, I was a normalien (student of École normale supérieure), majoring in mathematics. I obtained my Licence (bachelor's degree) at Université Paris-Dauphine in 2019 and my master's degree at Université Paris Cité in 2021, majoring in fundamental mathematics.
I am currently a teaching assistant at Université Paris-Saclay.
I am fluent in English and French. I can read and write German, Esperanto, and a little Spanish.
My other hobbies include video games, cooking, learning languages, and speedcubing.
