Mountain Lakes Makers Club

sponsored by the ML Public Library

Welcome to our Makers Club Page!

Do you love to craft, design, or create?

Then this club is for you!

Learn the fundamentals of electronics, robotics, and programming. Combine these elements with math, art, storytelling, presenting, and crafting to make your own robotic creations.

Work with a team and learn the design process

We use the Hummingbird Robotics Kit, Create Visual Lab Programming, and Scratch Programming. These building tools are great for any age and allow differentiation for all interests and skills.

The best aspect of the robotics kit we work with is ist ability to let students be creative. There is no getting bogged down in technical circuitry. Students can learn about many aspects of electronics, programming, and robotics from day one.

All you need to be a ML Maker is your imagination and a good amount of cardboard, duck tape, pipe cleaners, popsicle sticks, googly eyes, and any other crafting material you like.

Our winter season is full, however come and check out our next session, March 11th from 2:00 - 4:00 pm in the ML Library Community Room
