What place does technology occupy in your life? Is this a healthy relationship or are your priorities a bit unbalanced. You'll write a letter (love or break-up) to your phone. Using the idea of a letter, you will explain the role that your mobile device plays in your life.

Me: Becoming digital can be a bit like a romance

You: Yup

You: Some colleagues are not convinced this is a healthy relationship while others adore their devices

Me: Many have strong feeling about digital stuff (Wi-Fi, mobile devices, ebooks) in our personal and professional lives

You: Many call themselves BBT and have doubts about our this relationship to technology

Me: I'm not surprised

Me: Could you try and capture these thoughts, feelings, actions, responses to...

Me: ...as a love or break up letter to your mobile device

You: Huh

Me: How do you feel about your personal technology, Does it have a place in a library? Do you love your phone dearly. Or is it too demanding. Is this a healthy relationship?

You: Why do this? I know how I feel about my mobile.

Me: Are you sure. I think that you need to reflect on your relationship with digital and how it might be changing you

You: IMHO, most libraries and librarians don't like change

Me: You have shifted a bit. Taken a shelfy. Written a bio & posted professionally on a platform

You: Mmmmmmm. So?

Me: Change takes place at different speeds. Need to take the opportunity to open up your feeling to dreams and doubts

You: Okay. I'll give it a go. I'll try to write a love or breakup letter to my mobile device.

Me: Great. When putting the letter together, can you include the many pain and gain points associated with this "relationship" to your mobile deevice

Me: Remember. Just your story about your relationship with your phone.
