Want to make sense out of this digital world Feeling a bit like a novice (or perhaps a pro). Instead of being overwhelmed with everything, let's start with what you know. You'll respond to a #mliteracy #rookie #veteran question and then find someone who you can work together and form a rookie / veteran pair share. As partners you'll start to assist each other to manage a deluge of information.
You: I feel like a rookie. Can any one help me?
Me: Of course.
Me: I’d like you to try and connect to a veteran who already has made some sort of impact on the web, and form a partnership
You: Wow. That sounds like a fabulous suggestion
Me: The “vet” can help you with small steps towards being a digital person who communicates, connects, influences etc
You: So, they are going to teach me the basics?
Me:Together you will find people and projects, follow and engage with a few of them
You: How do I find such a veteran mentor?
Me: We’ll start with asking you to respond to a question. You’ll tag your answer with the hashtag #mliteracy
You: And then...I don’t get it?
Me: Then someone who is interested in the same question will either answer or add another question and use the same hashtag
You: Okay. So is this how I’ll find someone who can assist?
Me: But remember, you are not alone. You can always ask me
You: But how can I find you
Me: I’m available on email. I run the mliteracy Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Google plus sites. Use your searching skills
You: Okay. Where are the questions that we have to tag and answer?
Me: The are available on <see link below>
Me: You’ll find assistance if you are willing to put yourself out there and ask or answer question
You: This rookie is finding a way around.
Step 1 Look at the #rookie #veteran #mliteracy statements on on Instagram (the same statements are below.) Answer as many statements as you can.
Step 2: See if you can find other Rookies or Veterans and their what their answers were.
Next: In Networking / Engage, you are going to engage with others, beyond your library and maybe beyond this course >
