Lineal Championship
This section provides an unofficial but impartial, up-to-date record of the MLBB Esports Lineal Championship. This is directly inspired by boxing's lineal championship. The philosophy for this type of record is to see which teams has beaten the champion or a "to be the true champion, you have to beat the champion" logic. In this list we will see how long a team can sustain their dominance as world champions.
The following criteria and rules are followed to determine the lineal championship:
The first lineal champion will be the first team to win the World Championship (in this case EVOS Legends).
The matches that will be accounted for will only be from tournaments that are directly linked to qualification for MSC or M-Worlds.
If there is a case where the lineal champion disbands after winning, the two next best teams from their region will have an "unofficial" lineal championship match whenever they meet to determine the new lineal champion.
Special tournaments such as MPLI 4 Nation Cup are counted as they are held to replace MSC during certain periods.
