Hi everyone, I'm Mark. Here, you'll find a collection of my best and most recent projects. You'll see essays, maps, GIS products, and PowerPoint presentations covering multiple topics in environmental science, public policy, and GIS.
I'll be receiving both an MS in Environmental Science & Policy and a Graduate Certificate in GIS this May (2024) from Johns Hopkins University. I also have a B.S. in Finance & Legal Studies in Business from Tulane University.
So far, my skills include field work & observation records; plant & wildlife identification; critical analysis of public policy; and analyzing, processing, and evaluating different causes, impacts, and solutions to environmental problems; data analysis in R, ESRI Suite, and QGIS; researching, synthesizing, and creating new information from primary literature and available geospatial data; .
I'm pursuing roles that will allow me to further develop my skills and learn new ones while restoring key coastal ecosystems to a healthy, balanced state. My primary interests lie in coastal, marine, and wetland environments, though I also have a passion for forest and grassland ecology.
