There are many excellent food options in Pittsburgh's other neighborhoods. These are some, arranged in order of convenience by public transit.
Noodlehead. No reservations, no modifications, and you will not be seated until the entire party is there. The fact that the restaurant is doing well is a testament to the quality of their food (Thai street food).
Everyday Noodle. Chinese noodles and dumplings made fresh.
Church brew Works. Located in a repurposed church, this brewery/restaurant has a unique atmosphere. It is included on the list for the ambience, not the food and drink (which is alright).
Gaucho Parilla Argentina. Argentinian steakhouse.
Burgatory. Local burger chain, noteable for its flexible and varied 'make your own burger' options.
Altius. Fine dining with a view from Mount Washington of the three rivers mergin in downtown Pittsburgh.
EYV Hospitality. Short for 'Eat Your Veggies'.
For the so inclined, Pittsburgh also proudly features over 40 craft breweries and a cider house in easy driving or ubering distance from the conference.
