Something that is commonly known throughout the engineering community is that it is a mainly male orientated area of expertise.
"Luckily our Robotics Manager, Amy Trigoura, is committed to empowering girls to reach their maximum potential in STEM. She picks the girls in our Robotics class and picks girls from different grades, to get them interested in Robotics. Mrs. Trigoura holds a Girl Powered workshop. At this workshop, she has one of them explain what Robotics is and details about what we do in it. Then, all of the girls do fun projects that encourage them to get involved in engineering. These projects include making paper airplanes and towers out of marshmallows, uncooked spaghetti noodles, tape, and rope. After these projects are done, she hands the girls Girl Powered pens, stickers, shirts, bandannas, temporary tattoos, and a silicone wristband."
