The Black-Eyed Susan Tapestry (BEST) brings together public library staff from across Maryland for virtual sessions focused on standout titles from the current Black-Eyed Susan Book Award nominee lists. Participants learn about award-worthy books, practice book talking techniques, discover connections between titles, and gain a better understanding of Maryland's statewide student voting program. Whether you're helping a reluctant reader find their next favorite book or supporting a school's Black-Eyed Susan activities, BEST offers practical tools you can use immediately in your library. Offered each spring and fall.
