Bio
Experienced AI and machine learning researcher and developer with more than three years of experience, working in top research labs. Participated in developing cutting-edge ML solutions for challenging problems in different domains including computer vision and wireless communications for 5G and beyond. Worked in close cooperation with leading companies in different industrial sectors. Have a long experience in academic work as a teaching and research assistant. Through academic and industrial experience, I accumulated a broad knowledge of designing and implementing innovative solutions for various challenging tasks and problems.

[2023] Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR) Scholarship for DLRL | Link

[2022] DAAD RISE Pro Fellowship, PDF
DAAD is a governmental German agency for scholarships and awards that targets top talents all over the world. DAAD RISE Pro is a very competitive scholarship program that has a complex selection process. As a recipient of the DAAD RISE PRO scholarship, I had the opportunity to participate in a prestigious research internship program in Germany. During this program, I worked closely with researchers from the top research institute (Nokia Bell-Labs), gaining valuable hands-on experience and exposure to cutting-edge research techniques. This scholarship not only allowed me to enhance my research skills but also provided me with a unique cultural experience and a chance to develop meaningful connections with colleagues from around the world.

A competitive-based scholarship offered by ETS to the authors of high-quality academic articles to support the widespread of their articles. Each department council is responsible for nominating the award recipient.
[2020] Mitacs Accelerate Fellowship, Link
A competitive-based fellowship from MITACS Canada in collaboration with Ciena Inc. to pursue the Ph.D. degree. The selection process involves three filtering phases. In the first phase, the applicant’s CVs are screened to select the most qualified candidates. Then, the selected candidates go through a two-level interview to evaluate the relevancy and adequacy of their technical backgrounds.
[2019] Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR) Scholarship for DLRL, Link
A competitive-based scholarship by CIFAR (Canadian Institute for Advanced Research) to cover the costs of attending the DLRL summer school. DLRL is a flagship summer school organized by CIFAR since 2005 in collaboration with Vector Institute, MILA, and AMII research labs. From 1200 applicants from 75 countries, only 300 were selected (acceptance rate 25%). Another screening round is used to select the scholarship recipients from the attendees.
[2011] Distinction Award
This award is granted to the senior undergraduate student with the highest GPA. Usually, this rank certificate is given to the student ranked 1st in each department.
[2010] ITIDA Graduation Projects Scholarship, Link
A competitive-based award for funding the graduation project offered by ITIDA. ITIDA is the research and development (R&D) funding agency of the Egyptian Telecommunication Ministry. Each year, a committee of academic and industrial experts evaluates the applications to select the best projects that present creative ideas, social impact, and cutting-edge technology adoption.

An annual competitive-based award for undergraduate students at Assiut University. The candidates are evaluated by a committee of professors based on different factors such as academic record, general knowledge, volunteering activities, leadership skills, etc.
