Born 1977 in Warsaw, Poland. As daughter and granddaughter of great women-artists, Barbara Levittoux - Świderska and Małgorzata Świderska grew up in a painter's and textile artist's studio and attended the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts aged 3, as a silent companion to her mother.
Pursued art all her life, but behind the scenes. Professionally, a commercial graphic designer, and MK finally got to the point of overcoming shyness and opening up to the wider public. Maria, or privately Kasia, paints and draws human and animal friends, using many media, like ink, watercolors, acrylic, oil, pastels, crayons, and so on. With high sensitivity, the character of her model and moment are transferred in minimum strokes.
Apart from painting, Kasia creates feminine ceramic figures and makes traditional graphic prints (like linocut). Photographs and experiments with digital.
Her artistic pseudonym, in memory of her beloved grandmother, is Maria Katarzyna Levittoux, or MKLevittoux for short.
