Laser Cutting System

A customer of Science Research Institute «4D LLC» purchased an old laser cutting table with functioning mechanic and ordered a new robust control system from us. The back-end software was developed by my colleague using Borland C++ v3 for Chinese PLC I8000 by ICP DAS. I was responsible for the front-end. The software provides functions as follows:

• parsing G –code;
• preview of the torch path (zoom/pan, highlight functions present);
• manual functions und user settings;
• diagnostics.

Front-end: Builder C++ v5.

Hardware: ICPDAS I8000, Mitsubishi servo drives.

Communication btw front-end and back-end: RS232.

Project implemented in 2005.
