Hello readers!
I am so excited to start my author journey. This has been a dream of mine since I was young, and it's amazing to see it finally come to fruition. I remember the very first book I ever wrote. I was in junior high, and I wrote it with a pencil on thirty sheets of notebook paper. I was so proud of my work, and it was from that moment on that I knew I wanted to do this some day.
I have started several novels throughout the years, the ideas constant in my mind. Yet it was in 2025, after getting married and having two children, that I decided I finally wanted to finish one. I picked the novel that I wanted to see through, and set the goal of finishing it before my 30th birthday.
I'll be honest... I finished it two days after.
But I did it.
My sister was my first beta reader, and after her reaction, I knew that I wanted to publish it. After lots of research, edits, and intrinsic motivation, I made the decision to self-publish.
My debut novel, Rescue Me, went live on February 5, 2026, and it's a day I will never forget.
I have received so much encouragement, positive feedback, and praise from family, friends, and my community in such a short amount of time. I couldn't be more grateful for the support.
And it's because of this support, that I am more motivated than ever. I have been writing nonstop since, and am currently working on finishing some of the novels I've started over the years, as well as creating brand new stories to share with the world.
I look forward to sharing more stories soon--from heart racing to heartbreaking and beyond.
All the best,
Meghan Kristine Huffmon
