What is the Importance of Maintaining Supportive Environments in Academia?
Welcome to 2SLGBTQ+ Positive Spaces in Education! This project hopes to promote the development and creation of supportive learning environments in the classroom. These environments allow for holistic approaches to education as it empowers community development within academia. This is tailored for educators as a quick overview of the importance of positive spaces and resources that may be supportive in these conversations. This is an introductory and starting position, we encourage folks to continue to grow and learn from this starting point (Chappell et al., 2018; Haghiri-Vijeh et al., 2020; Miller et al., 2014)!

Literacy resources are available, recommendations are categorized by three groups - K-12 to Grade 1, Grades 3-6 and Grades 7-12.
Classroom Guidelines will provide 5 tips for the development of supportive learning environments in academia.
