Expect to have fun! The best pictures are when you're in your element and fully enjoying yourself, worry free. They shouldn't be stressful, regardless of the situation or type of session. We can incorporate things you like to do or things that make you happy. For families with young'ns; kids are kids, and we should let them be in their comfort zone. I understand how they can be, and I fully encourage longer sessions. Breaks are also encouraged to help everyone reset and relax. Sometimes these sessions can also feel awkward. No Problem! I'll do my best to help you relax. Bring a friend or family member that you know will be helpful and great for laughs. I actually request you bring an extra person when wanting photos with pets.
After editing, I give you everything digitally through google photos (this requires you to have a gmail). From there you can download them to your phone or computer, and print them where ever you would like. If you do not have a gmail, I can also make a flash drive for $5.00 extra.
I prefer natural light on location. I am flexible with locations, as I love to have different backgrounds and settings for each different client. I do not offer indoor settings or studio sessions, so I highly recommend photos during the late spring, summer, or early fall. I suggest places that have structures or natural landscapes. I can suggest a few of my favorite places in southeast MN as well.
This can vary depending on the time of year. In the spring and summer seasons, I suggest anytime in the afternoon or before sunset for some gorgeous photos. I also suggest any day that's expected to have an overcast to avoid harsh shadows. Fall and winter can have some questionable weather and come with shorter days, so I typically aim for times between late morning and early afternoon.
Depending on what you want in your pictures, yes! For seniors that want highlight photos with their athletic gear or things from their extra curriculars, I suggest bringing whatever you'd like that symbolizes your interests. I also bring props like a stool and blanket to provide some different poses and levels in your photos. If you have something else in mind, feel free to bring it along!
That's ok, I understand life happens and can get in the way. I just ask that you let me know AT LEAST 24 hours before the shoot that you need to cancel. I like to keep my schedule pretty flexible, but there are no guarantees that I will be able to fit you in as soon as possible for a reschedule. I typically will reach out to you the day before the shoot with additional info and to confirm our session. I'll also touch base when I'm leaving to meet you at the chosen location, but if by chance you do not show up for our session, I will not give you the option to reschedule with me.
I also offer split sessions (splitting a session for 2 separate days.) I ask that both sessions are booked right away, and I request payment in full after the first session. If changes need to be made on day and time, please contact me right away so I can book you for a better fitting time. Waiting to reschedule can result in less availability, and I will not issue refunds for second session cancelations.
Some weddings, yes. However, it is a first come first serve basis, and it really depends on what sort of pictures you are looking for. As far as weddings go, I serve as more of a secondary photographer, rather than a primary. Most weddings I take, the clients are mainly wanting photos to remember the day. Eventually, I'd like to grow my business into wedding photography, but as of right now I do not have the time or equipment that I would like to take it on professionally.
Depending on the location desired, yes. The quoted pricing located on the Price Guides page is based off of local sessions and locations in the SE MN area. Prices will change depending on desired locations, travel time, and session time.
