Arka Photonics is a deep-technology faculty startup initiated by Prof. Kailasnath M. to translate advanced research in photonics into innovative, real-world sensing solutions. The startup focuses on the development of optical fiber sensors, photonic biosensors, integrated photonic devices, resonant and interferometric sensors, nanophotonic technologies, and optical spectroscopy platforms for applications in healthcare, biomedical diagnostics, environmental monitoring, smart infrastructure, and industry. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic research and commercialization through technology development, prototyping, industry collaboration, and technology transfer, while providing opportunities for student training, research, and entrepreneurship. Arka Photonics LLP is an important step towards translating photonics research at CUSAT into indigenous technologies with societal and industrial impact.
