Message from Sadr-e-Majlis
My dear Khuddam and Atfal,
السلام علیکم ورحمة اللہ و برکاتہ
It is, indeed, an honour and a privilege to have an opportunity for writing a message for this historic and noble publication. Even though I do not consider myself worthy of this honor, I feel duty-bound to write something because of the extraordinary trust put upon me by the Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya.
By the Grace of Allah, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at in Sierra Leone has celebrated its 100th anniversary this year. During this era, the Jama’at in Sierra Leone has made tremendous progress in all fields. Nevertheless, we have a long journey ahead of us which still remains to be completed. As members of Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya and Atfal-ul-Ahmadiyya, we have to step in and follow the footsteps of our elders in order to continue the good works which they have started. Now that the first hundred years have been reached, we should devote ourselves to striving in the service of Jama’at with renewed fervour, energy, and dedication.
In the address delivered by Hadhrat Musleh Maud [ra] in the first ljtema, he said the following:
“The success of a nation is dependent on its youth. If the youth of a nation become true custodians or its traditions then that nation can survive for centuries upon centuries. However, if the generations of the future are negligent then a nation can never achieve success and even the progress it makes can be transformed into failure."
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is destined to bring about a spiritual revolution. The last phase of the revolution brought by the Holy Prophet (saw), had been inaugurated by the Promised Messiah (as), and the world is witness to the momentum which our community has gained during the last century. It is now up to us not only to maintain this momentum but to increase this momentum for the complete victory of Islam. Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya being the most active section of the community has to bear the greatest burden of the task. Mere words will not bring about any change in the world. Sacrifices are greatly needed and every Khadim and Tifl is expected to sacrifice everything that is required for the furtherance of Islam Ahmadiyyat. May Allah enable us to fulfill our obligations. Ameen
Wassalam
