Zaha Hadid
Zaha Hadid est née le 31 octobre 1950 à Bagdad, en Irak. Elle commença par étudier les mathématiques à l'université américaine de Beyrouth au Liban, par la suite elle suivra des études d'architecture à l'Architectural Association School of Architecture de Londres.
A la sortie de ses études elle rejoignit une agence d'architecture de Rotterdam et en 1980 elle ouvrit sa propre agence à Londres : Zaha Hadid Architects. En 2004 elle est la première femme a obtenir le prix Pritzker. Comme architecture qu'elle a imaginé, il y a la médiathèque Pierrevives, à Montpellier, mais aussi Aquatics Centre, qui est la piscine olympique de Londres qui accueilli les JO 2012.
Elle décède le 31 mars 2016, à Miami, des suites d'une crise cardiaque.
Zaha Hadid was born on October 31, 1950 in Bagdad (Iraq). She began studying Mathematics at the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. She then studied architecture at the Architectural Association School of Architecture of London. After graduating she joined an architectural firm in Rotterdam and opened in 1980 her own firm in London: the Zaha Hadid Architects. In 2004, she became the first woman to win the Pritzker Prize.
The Pierrevives media library in Montpellier or the Aquatics Centre, which was the Olympic swimming pool in London in 2012, are some examples of her work.
She died on the March 31, 2016, in Miami, from a heart attack.
