Decking Planter

You will need 2 sides. They can be as long as you want.

My spare bits of decking are 14cm deep and 3cm thick so….
The 2 end bits are 14cm x 14cm.
The width should match the depth so that the base fits in.

The base is cut 6.5cm shorter than the sides.
That is because my decking is 3cm thick so to ensure it fits it’s 2 x thickness plus a bit.
Hence 2 x 3cm + .5 = 6.5cm.I drill holes for drainage into the base once the planter has been assembled.

I used the spare decking screws to assemble it.
I suggest that you pre-drill the screw holes in the 2 sides to prevent splitting.
