Dr. Mike or M-J (he goes by both) Mercanti-Anthony is the principal of Antonia Pantoja Preparatory Academy, a public school in the South Bronx for students in grades 6-12.  He also serves as an elected member of the Greenwich Board of Education and was the proud chair of researchEd Greenwich.  He holds a doctorate in education from the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied the community school model. His writings have appeared in Edutopia, Ed Leadership, and the Hechinger Report.
