Directed by Prof. Minoh Jeong, our lab focuses on the fundamental principles of machine learning, statistical inference, and data science. We aim to build intelligent and reliable systems that can robustly operate in complex real-world environments. Our research spans a wide spectrum of modern machine learning, tackling critical challenges such as recovering structures/representations from noisy, complex, high-dimensional, and multimodal data, developing advanced generative models, and discovering optimal performance of machine learning algorithms.
Through rigorous mathematical, statistical, and algorithmic approaches, LIL is dedicated to advancing the theoretical foundations of ML while applying these insights to solve practical problems.

[May 2026] Our paper "Vision-Based Real-Time 3-D Position Sensor for Spherical Actuators Using ICP Pose Estimation" is accepted to IEEE SENSORS JOURNAL.
