About Us
Masjid Ahl-E-Hadith Rotherham, located on Moorgate Street (S60 2EY), has been serving the local Muslim community since 1987. The building was originally constructed in 1878 as the Church of Our Father, designed by the renowned architects Flockton & Gibbs of Sheffield. Following the church's closure in 1986, it was purchased and reopened as a mosque in 1987, ensuring the building continued its legacy as a place of worship.
Jamiat Ahl-E-Hadith Rotherham, the mosque provides daily prayers, Jumu'ah, Taraweeh, Janazah and Eid Salah, alongside Islamic education and community programmes for all ages. The mosque includes dedicated facilities for both brothers and sisters and is conveniently located in Rotherham town centre with over 150 nearby parking spaces.
Affiliated with Markazi Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadith UK, the mosque is part of a nationwide network of over 45 mosques and educational centres dedicated to promoting the Qur'an and authentic Sunnah.
Today, we thank Allah for the blessing of this masjid and remember the sacrifices of our parents and grandparents who established and developed it for future generations. May Allah reward them abundantly and continue to allow this mosque to benefit the community for years to come. Ameen.
Jamiat Ahl-E-Hadith Rotherham has been serving the local Muslim community for many years.
