About

The University of Missouri Center for Schoolwide Positive Behavior Support (SW-PBS), under the direction of Dr. Tim Lewis at the College of Education, works with SW-PBS programs all over the nation and the world. The center provides educators and schools with research-based information and tools to improve SW-PBS practices and techniques.

The center also works closely with the Missouri Schoolwide Positive Behavior Support (MO SW-PBS) to provide professional development opportunities and technical assistance to more than 800 Missouri schools working in partnership with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP).

Mizzou PBIS in the News

The MU Center for Schoolwide Positive Behavior Support is the recipient of a $4.25 million subcontract from the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs. When completed, this latest award will make 25 years of continuous federal funding for the school climate and behavior support system now used in 680 Missouri schools and 26,000 schools across the country.
