About Us

First Gen Tigers is a student run organization at the University of Missouri. This organization is for first-generation college students that connects students with other first-generation students, staff, faculty, administration, campus resources, and community resources through social activities and networking. We agree to abide by all regulations described in the Guidelines for Recognized Student Organizations, all University policies, in addition to all federal, state and local laws.

Our Constitution

Membership shall be open to any currently enrolled student or employee of the University. The focus of the group is to engage first-generation college students with other first-generation college students, at any academic level e.g. undergraduate, graduate, professional, staff, faculty administration, by promoting collaboration and networking opportunities. This organization shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, ancestry, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, disability, protected veteran status, and any other status protected by applicable state or federal law. As used in this policy, the word “sex” is also inclusive of the term “gender”.
