I am Miryam Mi-Ying Huang. I am a postdoc research fellow at Carnegie Mellon University working with Prof Elaine Shi. I completed my PhD at University of Southern California, and I am advised by Prof. Jiapeng Zhang and work closely with Prof. Shang-Hua Teng. My research interests focus on quantum and post-quantum cryptography, complexity theory, AI security.
I am visiting Simons Institute Summer Cluster on Quantum Computing Program in 2025 and 2026.
I will be on the academic job market in this year for positions starting in Fall 2027.
NEWS:
- I am giving a talk at Qcrypt 2026!
- Come say hi at CFail 2026!
- I am giving a talk at Simons Institute cryptography 10 years later reunion!
Mijn naam is Mirjam: I was named Miryam, in remembrance of my multi-heritage family, and was later given the name Mi-Ying to echo Mirjam/Miryam/Miriam in Mandarin and Taiwanese Hokkien. Both Mi-Ying and Miryam are my legal names.
