Er-Cheng Tang

Hi, I am a fourth-year PhD student in computer science at the University of Washington, advised by Andrea Coladangelo and Huijia (Rachel) Lin. My research focuses on cryptography and quantum computing.

I was a long-term student visitor at the Simons Institute for the Theory of Computing in Spring 2024 for the Quantum Algorithms, Complexity, and Fault Tolerance program and was invited in Summer 2025 to the Cryptography 10 Years Later program.

Previously, I obtained my B.S. and M.S. in mathematics from National Taiwan University, where I was advised by Jiun-Ming Chen on zero-knowledge arguments and worked closely with Hui-Wen Lin on algebra.
