Mi-Ying huang
The wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. James 3:17
I am Miryam Mi-Ying Huang (米瀅 黃). I am a third-year Ph.D. student in Computer Science at the University of Southern California. I am fortunate to be advised by Prof. Jiapeng Zhang. Before joining USC, I worked with Prof. Kai-Min Chung at Academia Sinica, Taiwan. My research interests lie in Theoretical Computer Science (TCS), especially in cryptography and complexity theory.
Deep gratitude to the my esteemed advisors Prof. Stephen.R. Leone at the University of California, Berkeley, whose profound insights unveiled the mesmerizing intricacies of physics and mathematics to me, and Prof. Charles Ci Wen Lim at the National University of Singapore, who guided me with wisdom into the fascinating realms of quantum cryptography.
My formal name is Mi-Ying, chosen by my parents to mimic Miryam (Miriam) due to my European heritage and Christian background. Family and friends call me Miryam. Mi-Ying is for those who don't know me well. My actual surname is ひろた (広田). While it's not used, you're welcome to use it for work as well.
