If you want a durable, stretchable headband that handles sweat and offers solid battery life for active use or side sleeping without pressure points, choose Mixiba 2-Pack; if you need cutting-edge connectivity, touch controls, and a built-in microphone for calls while gaming or working, choose Perytong 2.
• Mixiba 2-Pack: Its biggest strength is the robust construction with a high-stretch fabric blend and a simple push-button interface that works even when wet; its trade-off is the older Bluetooth 5.0 standard and lack of voice call integration.
• Perytong 2: It shines with modern Bluetooth 5.4 stability, an integrated microphone for hands-free calling, and intuitive touch controls; however, it relies on a slightly more complex fabric blend that may feel less like traditional cotton to some users.
• Best for: The Mixiba pick is ideal for those who prioritize simple, rugged comfort during intense workouts or deep sleep sessions where electronics might get sweaty. The Perytong pick is perfect for anyone looking for a gaming headset for big ears that doubles as a communication tool without needing a separate phone in hand.
The Mixiba 2-Pack is designed with a specific focus on durability and straightforward usability. Built from a blend of 95% polyester fiber and 5% spandex, this headband offers significant elasticity that accommodates most head shapes without feeling tight. This material choice is particularly beneficial for shift workers, athletes, or anyone who exercises heavily, as the fabric absorbs sweat effectively and dries quickly to keep hair and moisture away from your eyes. The design philosophy here is clearly functional: it strips away complexity to provide a reliable audio companion that doesn't require fiddling with settings.
For those concerned about comfort during sleep, the placement of the control module is a standout feature. Situated directly in the middle of the forehead rather than over the ear cups, the device eliminates pressure points when lying on your side. This makes it an excellent choice for people who toss and turn or prefer flat sleeping positions. The ultra-thin speakers are embedded to align with the cochlea once adjusted, ensuring you get sound without the bulk of traditional headphones pressing against your pillow. If you are someone who needs a gaming headset for big ears that won't cause pain after an hour of wear, this design addresses the core issue of physical compression.

However, this product is not for everyone. It lacks a built-in microphone, meaning you cannot take calls or use voice commands directly through the headband. You must rely on your paired device for any interaction beyond play/pause and volume adjustments via the push buttons. Additionally, while the audio quality is clear for podcasts and music, the Bluetooth version is 5.0, which, while stable, does not offer the latest transmission speeds or range improvements found in newer models. If your primary use case involves multitasking, answering work calls while relaxing, or requiring the absolute latest wireless performance, this model might feel too basic. It is best suited for users who view the headband strictly as a media player for sleep, meditation, or focused exercise.
The Perytong 2 stands out immediately because it bridges the gap between a sleep aid and a full-featured communication device. At the heart of its appeal is the integration of Bluetooth 5.4 technology. This isn't just a minor upgrade; it provides a significantly more stable connection with a range extending up to 43 feet (approximately 13 meters). For a user moving around a large apartment or stepping outside to answer a door without losing their audio stream, this range is substantial. Furthermore, the combination of Bluetooth 5.4 and finely-tuned 40mm composite drivers delivers a layered stereo experience that feels immersive. Whether you are listening to subtle ambient sounds for meditation or dynamic game audio, the clarity is balanced and rich.
What truly sets this product apart for many buyers is the inclusion of a built-in microphone and touch controls. You can answer incoming calls, skip tracks, adjust volume, and manage playback with simple taps or swipes on the side of the headband. This hands-free capability transforms the device from a passive listening tool into an active accessory. For someone who wants a gaming headset for big ears but finds traditional bulky headsets uncomfortable during long sessions, the Perytong 2 offers a viable alternative. It allows for seamless communication with teammates or family members without removing the headphones or holding a phone. The 40mm ultra-thin speakers are completely flat, ensuring zero pressure points regardless of whether you sleep on your left, right, or back.
The material composition also deserves attention. Made from a blend of spandex, nylon, and elastic fiber, the fabric is exceptionally soft, skin-friendly, and highly breathable. It wicks moisture efficiently, making it suitable for high-intensity workouts or hot summer nights. The removable speaker units add a layer of practicality, allowing you to wash the entire headband without damaging the electronics. However, the reliance on touch controls means you might occasionally trigger accidental inputs if you rub your face against a pillow or adjust your position aggressively. While the battery life matches the competition at 14 hours, the added functionality of the microphone and touch interface requires a slightly higher level of care and familiarity to master compared to the push-button simplicity of its rival.
• Best for battery longevity: Both products offer 14 hours of playback, but the Perytong 2 supports faster Type C charging in roughly one hour, whereas the Mixiba 2-Pack takes about 1.5 hours to reach full capacity.
• Best for wireless range: The Perytong 2 wins with its Bluetooth 5.4 chip offering a 43-foot range, providing greater freedom of movement compared to the standard range of the Mixiba 2-Pack's Bluetooth 5.0.
• Best for hands-free communication: Only the Perytong 2 includes a built-in microphone, making it the superior choice for taking calls or using voice assistants without touching your phone.
• Best for ease of use: The Mixiba 2-Pack features physical push buttons that are tactile and easy to locate in the dark, whereas the Perytong 2 uses touch sensors that require learning the specific swipe patterns.
• Best for heavy sweating: Both are sweat-proof, but the Mixiba 2-Pack's 95% polyester and 5% spandex blend is specifically noted for its high elasticity and quick-drying properties during intense jogging or gym sessions.
• Best for side sleeping: Both excel here with ultra-thin speakers, but the Perytong 2's 40mm drivers are marketed specifically for creating zero pressure points, appealing to those who need maximum comfort for all-night use.
• Best for durability and warranty: The Perytong 2 comes with a 2-year manufacturer warranty, double the coverage provided by the 1-year warranty on the Mixiba 2-Pack.
• Best value for tech enthusiasts: If you prioritize the latest connectivity standards and smart features, the Perytong 2 offers more advanced technology for the same form factor.
After analyzing the specifications and intended use cases, I would personally buy the Perytong 2. While both options deliver impressive battery life and comfortable designs for side sleepers, the addition of Bluetooth 5.4 and a built-in microphone gives it a decisive edge in versatility. For anyone seeking a gaming headset for big ears that can also handle daily calls and offers a longer wireless range, the extra features justify the choice. The touch controls and 43-foot connectivity make it a smarter investment for a modern lifestyle where staying connected is just as important as getting a good night's rest.
Both models feature dynamic drivers capable of delivering clear stereo sound, but the Perytong 2's 40mm composite drivers and Bluetooth 5.4 technology generally provide a more immersive and layered audio experience suitable for gaming.
Only the Perytong 2 has a built-in microphone for hands-free calling; the Mixiba 2-Pack is designed strictly for media playback and does not support voice calls directly through the headband.
You should remove the speaker units from both models before washing. The Mixiba 2-Pack is made of a stretchy polyester-spandex blend, while the Perytong 2 uses a spandex-nylon mix, both of which are designed to be washed gently after the electronics are detached.
Both products claim up to 14 hours of continuous playback time, though the Perytong 2 charges slightly faster with a 1-hour cycle compared to the 1.5 hours required by the Mixiba 2-Pack.
