Clint grew up on a farm outside of Fairfield, IA and began working at MIU in 2022 as the University’s Mental Health Counselor. Clint brings over 15 years of experience providing mental health services where he has worked in a variety of settings including private colleges, healthcare, nonprofit agencies, and private practice. Clint completed his training as a Marriage and Family Therapist and Social Worker at Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, IA. While at Mount Mercy he had the chance to provide therapy services to students as well as being a member of the Men’s Basketball team. As a licensed therapist, he understands the individual needs of the students that he works with, as well as understanding the importance of the college experience. Clint believes it is a privilege to serve students at the University and is dedicated to respecting each student’s experience. He strives to utilize his training and knowledge of resources to assist students in meeting their mental health needs, while developing genuine relationships and promoting growth. Clint offers mental health counseling for all MIU students and offers same- day appointments. The best way to reach him is by e-mail or text message.
