Mithun Ray is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography, Malda College, Malda since August 04, 2020. Before joining this prestigious college he has obtained his M.Sc. degree from Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University with first class (Silver Medalist) in the year 2015. He is the first UGC NET qualified student of Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University. He has obtained his M.Phil. degree from North-Eastern Hill University (A Central University) in 2017. At present he is doing Ph.D. as a part-time scholar from Department of Geography, Visva-Bharati (A Central University). His central areas of interests are different branches of Human Geography. As a teacher his objective is not only just give explanation but also knock the mind of the students.
