Privacy Policy for Mithram - Wellness Tracker
Effective Date: June 5, 2026
1. Introduction Welcome to Mithram Wellness Journal ("Mithram", "we", "our", or "us"). Mithram is a secure, privacy-first clinical companion and symptom tracking tool developed in collaboration with the Department of Psychiatry at KIMS Hospital. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the strict security protocols we use to keep it safe.
2. Information We Collect We only collect the absolute minimum data required to provide you with tracking and journaling functionality.
Authentication Data: Depending on how you choose to log in, we collect either an email address (for Passwordless OTP login) or a completely anonymous, system-generated internal identifier (if you choose the "Anonymous Username" track).
Clinical & Tracking Data: Information you explicitly enter into the app, including symptom severity scores, custom tracked symptoms, medication adherence toggles, and appointment dates.
Encrypted Personal Notes: Any text you enter into the "Clinical Notes" section.
3. How We Secure Your Data (Data Isolation & Cryptography) Mithram is built on a "Privacy-First" architecture. We employ bank-grade security measures to ensure your data remains under your control:
AES-256 Encryption: All personal clinical notes entered into the application are secured using AES-256 bit encryption.
Native App Lock: The app utilizes your device’s native Biometric (Fingerprint) or PIN authentication to prevent unauthorized local access.
Offline Local Storage
4. How We Use Your Information Your data is used strictly to provide the core functionality of the Mithram app to you.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties.
We do not use your data for advertising or marketing.
We do not run background diagnostic algorithms, AI analysis, or aggregate tracking matrixes on your data.
5. Third-Party Services To provide cloud backup and secure authentication, Mithram utilizes Supabase, a highly secure backend-as-a-service infrastructure. If you enable "Cloud Sync," your encrypted data is transmitted securely to Supabase servers. If you choose the anonymous login route, your data is isolated on the backend using deterministic internal credentials, meaning it cannot be traced back to your real-world identity.
6. Permissions Requested To function properly, the app may request the following device permissions:
Notifications & Exact Alarms: Required strictly to fire local medication and appointment reminders on your device.
Biometrics: Required to enable the secure App Lock feature.
7. Medical & Clinical Disclaimer Mithram is a secondary tracking log and wellness journal. It is not a medical device. The application does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, psychiatric analysis, or treatment plans. The data you log is for your personal awareness and to share with your primary psychiatric or medical care team at your own discretion. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical decisions.
8. Your Rights and Data Deletion You have total control over your data. You may securely sign out of your account at any time, which purges the interface memory from your device. You may also request the complete deletion of your cloud-synced account and associated data by contacting the developer. (email: deepankar.dee@gmail.com)
