Welcome!

Hi students and families, 

I am Ms. Mitchener, a High School English teacher at Alamance Virtual School, and I am thrilled you are in my class! 

HS English covers an in-depth study of various forms of literary texts including critical analysis through reading, writing, discussion, listening, and using media creatively.

Throughout the HS English courses, you will be engaged in peer-interactions on discussion boards, collaborative work in teams and groups, writing and comprehension assessments. The variety of activities should provide you with a wide range of opportunities for learning.
