For Mista Presto, the love for reggae music started early—so early that he’d skip school just to grab the latest tracks. Back when new music meant digging through record stores, he’d rush home to spin vinyl on his dad’s turntables in their Toronto basement. That raw passion for sound, culture, and connection became the foundation for a decades-long career that continues to shape the city’s reggae music scene.
Known across Toronto as a high-energy concert host and cultural curator, Mista Presto has shared the stage with reggae and dancehall icons like Marcia Griffiths, Mavado, and Beenie Man. As co-founder and host of Redemption, one of Toronto’s most beloved reggae events for over 25 years, he helped bring world-class reggae artists to local audiences while keeping the vibe authentic and the crowd on their feet.
These days, Mista Presto’s focus is all about live connection. Whether he’s hosting concerts, festivals, or his signature One Dance parties, his goal is simple: create unforgettable nights filled with rhythm, laughter, and pure Caribbean joy. As he puts it, “When I see everyone singing, dancing, and smiling together—that’s what I do it for.”
Beyond the stage, Mista Presto continues to uplift the community as a youth basketball coach and referee, proving that whether it’s music or mentorship, his passion lies in bringing people together.
